The national strategy for STEM learning in schools was endorsed by Australian Education Ministers on December 11 2015.
The strategy is focused on action that lifts foundational skills in STEM learning areas, develops mathematical, scientific and technological literacy and promotes the development of 21st century skills of problem solving, critical analysis and creative thinking.
National Goals for STEM Learning:
Goal 1: Ensure all students finish school with a strong foundational knowledge in STEM and related skills.
Goal 2: Ensure that students are inspired to take on more challenging STEM subjects
